Practitioner qualifications: He completed his first Diploma in Massage under Simon Schot of Mapleton in 1977. To ensure currency in the industry, this was upgraded to an accredited Ct IV in Remedial Massage in 2002 and a Diploma in Remedial Massage in 2007.
Specialist Soft and DeepTissue Qualifications: His soft tissue specialist qualifications are: The Niblett Tendon Technique - Certificate of Excellence 2001; and a Diploma in Orthopractics. Orthopractics is a complete system of musculoskeletal therapy, using gentle, non-invasive techniques that effectively release stress, tension, pain and other disturbances associated with poor posture and structural imbalances of the body. It also specialises in foot joint mobilisation, a soft-tissue therapy to help mobilize foot-joints to remedy conditions of the feet. Educational and trainer qualifications He holds a three year Diploma in Ministry (Honours) - 1972, majoring in Chaplaincy, Leadership, and Psychology of Counselling. A Licensed Contractors Management award - 1993; Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment - 2003; upgraded to a current Cert IV in Training and Assessment in 2008.
After founding a number of tertiary colleges and being the founding Principal of Nambour Christian College in 1980 and Kings College International at Buderim in 2000, Paul assisted Margaret Wright at the Natural Healing School of Massage and Hydrotherapy, Chevallum, to prepare for government registration in 2004 as a Registered Training Organization. He functioned as her assessment officer, co-trainer and consultant on curriculum development. Concurrently he helped the Niblett Technique Company develop its training manuals and marketing materials. He was co-trainer with its founder, Allan Niblett for three years in the training of Niblett Tendon Technique specialists.
Industry representative He served for two years on the management executive of the Qld Swedish Massage Institute, as its editor for its magazine “In Good Hands”, and as its representative with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.
